Laparotomy is a surgery in which an incision is made through the abdominal wall in order to remove the tumor. The intervention does not present any pain for the patient because it is performed while asleep under general anesthesia.
Abdominal wall tumors are extremely rare, the most frequent being a deep fibromatosis known as desmoid tumor, followed by the group of soft tissue sarcomas and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans.
