Radical surgery of endometrial cancer

Endometrial cancer, also called uterine cancer, originates when cells in the endometrium (inner lining of the uterus) begin to grow uncontrollably. Surgery is the main treatment and involves a hysterectomy to remove the uterus, cervix, upper part of the vagina and nearby tissues. Hysterectomy is usually very safe, eliminates the ability to get pregnant and interrupts menstrual periods.
