Nasal abscesses are due to bacterial, viral or parasitic infections. In many cases, the infection is preceded by wounds or other traumatic injuries caused by the entry of substances or external objects. A nasal hematoma, is a collection of blood inside the septum of the nose (the septum is the part of the nose that is between the nostrils), a lesion breaks the blood vessels, so that blood and fluids can accumulate underneath of the coating.
