Endoscopic sinus surgery is a procedure to open the passages of the nose and sinuses, it is done to treat sinus infections in the long term. A biopsy is the removal of tissue to examine the presence of a disease in it. Polypectomy is the endoscopic technique that allows the removal of polyps (growth protruding from a mucous membrane). Debridement is the removal of dead, damaged or infected tissue to improve the healthiness of the remaining tissue.
