The TLMS (also known as the Daytime Sleepiness Test) is used in cases of excessive daytime sleepiness to check sleep latency and REM (Rapid Eye Movement, the sleep phase during which the most intense dreams happen). It is normally used as an aid for the diagnosis of narcolepsy and differentiate the narcolepsy from idiopathic hypersomnia.
