The filling materials are substances compatible with the organism that are injected or implanted to provide filling and volume in specific areas. The filling materials can be classified according to their composition or their duration in the tissue from the moment they are implanted until they are absorbed, if they last less than 18 months they are called temporary, semi-permanent when their permanence in the tissue is of at least 18 months and permanent; temporary fillings are the most used for aesthetic purposes.
