Gastroscopy with biopsy

Gastroscopy is a medical examination that allows direct visualization of the upper part of the digestive tract (esophagus, stomach and duodenum), an endoscope is used for its realization, whose tip has a video camera and a light that illuminates the examined organ and the image is transmitted to a monitor where injuries such as ulcers, erosions and neoplasms of the organs examined can be identified. It also allows to take biopsies of the areas that are suspicious to study them later in the laboratory.
