Botulinum toxin application for spasticity and chronic pain

Spastic is a type of cerebral palsy characterized by the inability to relax muscles or have them rigid, the condition can interfere with the activity of walking, movement or speech. Botox treatment is useful because of the ability to specifically weaken the infiltrated muscles, that is, to relax the muscles temporarily paralyzing their activity; the effect usually takes between 1 and 5 days to appear and lasts from three to six months.
