Hernia surgery

Surgery is the only way to repair a hernia, the hospital stay of the patient after the operation is, at most, 1 or 2 days. A hernia appears when there is a weakness or hole in the peritoneum (muscular wall that usually holds the abdominal organs in place), usually located in the abdomen or groin. Hernias may occur at birth, but the bump may not be noticed until they are adults, some people have a family history of hernias.
