The prosthesis explantation consists in the definitive removal of the breast prosthesis. It is an intervention that has gone from being something unusual to frequent, it is simple and does not present any pain for the patient because it is performed while sleeping under general anesthesia.
Breast implant removal can be performed as a single surgical procedure or combined with additional surgical procedures, for example: mastopexy or lipotransfer.
This procedure includes preoperative assessment.
