When the nerve ofthe tooth dies due to deep infection, this is called pulp necrosis, or pulp gangrene. The procedure consists in the amputation of the coronal tissue, or nerve that is inside the tooth in the primary dental piece, thus, they will prevent the necrosis from spreading and it will be necessary in the future to extract the tooth, and that the infection will spread to the rest of the mouth and cause cardiovascular complications.
