It is a safe and generally fast surgery, since it usually does not take more than 15 minutes for each eye, which aims to eliminate or minimize ocular refractive defects, shaping the cornea to allow the light that enters the eye to be properly focused towards the retina and, so that the vision is clearer. These refractive problems are myopia, farsightedness and astigmatism.
