It is a surgery that aims to eliminate or minimize ocular refractive defects, through lens implants that respect the natural lens of the eye. The phakic ICL (implantable collamer lens) lenses are inserted into the eye, in front of the lens and behind the iris, to correct myopia, farsightedness and elevated astigmatisms safely and effectively.
With the application of these lenses, the eye does not undergo any modification and its main advantage is that they allow the correction of myopia, farsightedness and / or astigmatism that cannot be treated by laser corneal surgery, and in some cases they even improve visual capacity of the patient.
