CrossLinking + Iontophoresis is a safe and novel procedure that is performed against keratoconus and corneal deformations.
Keratoconus is a progressive ocular condition whereby the normally circular cornea refines and begins to bulge by adopting a cone shape. This cone shape deflects the light that enters the eye on its path to the retina, which causes a distortion in vision. Keratoconus can appear in one or both eyes and usually begins in adolescence or in the early twenties.
