Mandibular fracture surgery
$1,180.00
The jaw is one of the bones of the face most exposed to trauma and, therefore, to fractures. The presence of the teeth means that, in case of fracture displacement, the teeth also move with the bone, changing the way in which the teeth fit (occlusion) and making it necessary to restore all their functions (chewing, speaking , swallowing) and facial aesthetics.
Corrective treatment is usually a surgery that can be performed inside the mouth, so it does not leave facial scars; however, in some cases, it may be necessary to make small incisions outside the mouth. During surgery, small plates or screws can be used to stabilize the fracture and allow bone healing.
