It is a microinvasive surgical technique that involves the placement of a small collagen implant inside the eye in order to reduce intraocular pressure, facilitating the outflow of aqueous humor from inside the eye to the subconjunctival space. This implant or device is placed through a corneal incision of less than 2 mm without opening the conjunctiva and placing points. This drainage route has as innovation the use of a much simpler, less invasive, safer approach, with less discomfort and with a faster recovery.
