Total hysterectomy

It consists of surgery aimed at removing the entire uterus, including the cervix. The ovaries and fallopian tubes do not necessarily need to be removed. The hysterectomy intervention is focused on alleviating the symptoms of various diseases such as fibroids, severe dysplasias of the cervix, cervical cancer, endometriosis, hyperplasia, uterine prolapse, or heavy or irregular bleeding.
