Dental scraping is the most common non-surgical way to treat periodontal disease, known as periodontitis. The ultrasonic scraping is done with an instrument with a metal head that vibrates to break the tartar clusters and irrigate with water to clean the worked area and maintain a good temperature in the instrument and in the tooth. Its application is very efficient in removing tartar.
