Soft tissue tumors refer to all carcinomas that develop in soft tissues such as fibrous tissue, nerve tissue or muscle tissue. There are benign soft tissue tumors and, more rarely malignant, called soft tissue sarcomas.
The treatment is surgical, through tumor excision. Generally the surgical intervention is for aesthetic purposes or for the presence of annoying symptoms (pain, compression or rapid growth).
