Bariatric surgery

Bariatric surgery helps very obese people lose weight greatly, significantly improve their health and return quality of life. They limit the amount of food that fits in the stomach (called restriction), which makes the person feel full after eating very little. Sometimes, they also limit the calories and nutrients that your body can absorb (called malabsorption). People undergo this type of surgery if other methods of losing weight failed or because they have serious health problems caused by obesity or both.
