Appendectomy (acute appendicitis with washing)

An appendectomy with lavage is the surgical removal of the appendix with lavage. The body can function properly without the appendix.
When the appendix becomes inflamed and swollen, bacteria can multiply rapidly inside the organ and lead to the formation of pus. If the infected appendix is not removed, it can end up bursting and spreading the bacteria making it necessary to wash, it is a procedure in which a saline solution is used to wash the peritoneal cavity, then this solution is extracted.
