Ultrasound and papanicolau

An ultrasound is a diagnostic, safe and non-invasive test that is performed in order to assess the condition of the uterus, ovaries and endometrium, in these organs size, presence or absence of tumors, cysts and inflammations are visualized. This procedure is performed together with a pap smear or cervical cytology, which is a test or exam whose goal is to detect early changes in the cervix that can later become cancer. It is a safe procedure, little invasive and generally fast, as it usually does not take more than 15 minutes.
