Radical orchiectomy
$2,000.00
Radical orchiectomy, is a surgery that is done to remove one or both testicles, it is called "radical" because the entire spermatic cord is removed as well as the testicle itself, this procedure is carried out, almost always, with local anesthesia, lasts between 30 - 60 minutes (depending on the type and degree of pathology).
It is usually done as a treatment for testicular cancer, although it may also be necessary if the testicle is severely damaged due to infection or injury. The penis is not affected by this surgery and the scrotum (which is the skin bag where the testicles are located) remains intact after the surgery.
