Caldwell-Luc
$3,000.00
The Caldwell-Luc technique or maxillary antrostomy consists of opening the maxillary sinuses through an incision made under the upper lip, in the gum, reaching the breast through a small window, open in the bone itself. It is indicated for situations such as the extraction of certain foreign bodies from the inside of the breast, the removal of pathological processes from the outermost region of the maxillary sinus, the treatment of certain diseases that have compromised the tooth root or nearby areas, and the resection of tumors that require the removal of a portion of surrounding bone. Exceptionally, it is also used as a complementary route for the so-called endoscopic sinus surgery.
