Polysomnography is a painless study for the patient, indicated for the study of different sleep disorders, by means of which various physiological variables are simultaneously evaluated: time it takes to fall asleep, time it takes to enter the sleep phase with movements rapid eye (MOR), the flow of air into and out of the lungs during breathing, the frequency of stopping breathing completely (apnea) or partially (hypoapnea) for at least ten seconds, while the person sleeps or treats from falling asleep.
