Dermatology is the area of medicine that specializes in the study, care, diagnosis and treatment of the skin. When we talk about skin, we include its annexes (nails and hairs), its glands (sweat and sebaceous), mucous membranes (buccal and genital), extending from the head to the tips of the feet. Whether in children, adults or older adults, being that skin lesions are present from birth, first months of life or appear later in life.
