Cervical spine surgery

The cervical spine is part of the spine that passes through the neck area and consists of 7 vertebrae and 8 pairs of spinal nerves (called C1 to C8). The two most common problems that people have in the cervical spine are hernia and stenosis. Surgery of the cervical spine is a procedure used to correct the part of the spine that belongs to the neck, including problems with the bones (vertebrae), discs and nerves.
