Humerus fracture

A fracture of the humerus, means that the bone in the upper arm is broken, this type of fracture usually occurs along the central part of the bone or at the end of the bone near the shoulder (it is less common to occur in the bone end near the elbow). The bone may crack or break into two parts or more, the pieces of bone may have been aligned or out of place; Sometimes the bone can pierce the skin. Nerves, tissues and nearby joints can also be damaged. Depending on the severity of the fracture, recovery may take several months or more. Humerus fracture is observed in all age groups, but it is more common in the elderly and young adults.
