Bichectomy is an outpatient cosmetic surgery procedure by which bichat bags are removed, while bichatoplasty or thinning of the cheeks is a resection of the fatty bags that make the cheeks less bulky or rounded.
The bichat fat bag is an accumulation of fat located between the masseter muscle and the buccinator muscle, on both sides of the face. These two muscles that allow chewing movements need a grease pad that is the Bichat bag.

This procedure includes: Surgery room, anesthesia, medications (celebra and ciprofloxacin), laboratory tests, cardiology (over 50 years of age or when the exam is warranted) and control appointments for one year.
This procedure does not include (only when required): one night of hospitalization (only when required), clexane medicine and hestar serum (anticoagulant, only when the doctor refers) and special laboratory tests (this depends on the patient's medical history).
