Pelvic floor repair surgery

The most common surgery is vaginal, although in some cases, abdominal surgery is used. Both interventions consist of fixing the organs that have descended with a synthetic mesh (polypropylene) to provide additional support and reinforce the weakened vaginal wall, thus correcting problems arising from prolapse, such as urinary or anal incontinence, pain in sexual intercourse, etc.
