The pacemaker is placed under the skin on the chest, which allows you to perceive when the heart is beating irregularly or very slowly, it sends a signal to the heart, which makes it beat at the correct rate.
This procedure takes about 1 hour in most cases, the intervention does not present any pain for the patient because it is performed while it is sedating.
