Placing of tympanic tubes
$2,530.00
The procedure consists in placing a small tube in the eardrum, called a “tympanostomy tube” or ventilation tubes. They are small hollow cylinders, usually made of plastic or metal. Their function is to ventilate and equalize the pressure inside the middle ear. This helps prevent infections, fluid buildup and, over time, normalizes hearing.
Ear tubes are often recommended for children who have persistent accumulation of fluid behind the eardrum, especially if the disorder causes hearing loss and affects speech development; They are also recommended if you have frequent ear infections.
