Septoplasty

Septoplasty, or alternatively submucosal septal resection and septal reconstruction, is a corrective surgical procedure that is performed to straighten a deviated or damaged nasal septum due to unnatural causes. The nasal septum is the wall that separates the two nostrils, it is composed of bone and cartilage, and when it is not straight it can cause respiratory problems such as snoring and even sleep apnea.
