Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT)

Trabeculoplasty is an argon laser procedure, effective and safe to reduce intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma. It consists of applying the laser directly on the filtration zone of the eye, the trabeculum, in order to increase the outflow of aqueous humor and, thus, reduce intraocular pressure.
