Laparotomy

Laparotomy or surgical exploration of the abdomen is a surgery that aims to explore the organs and structures of the lower belly, such as the appendix, intestines, bladder, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, etc. The intervention does not present any pain for the patient because it is performed while asleep under general anesthesia and can be simply exploratory or include some surgical procedure if necessary.
