Brachytherapy for melanoma

Ocular melanoma is a type of cancer that develops in the cells that produce pigment, the substance that gives color to the skin, hair and eyes. Ocular melanoma develops in the same way as a melanoma in the skin, although it is the most common cause of cancer in the eye among adults, ocular melanoma is rare and can be treated with brachytherapy, which is a type of radiotherapy.
