Playing sports is important to maintain good health, however, there is a possibility that the practice of physical exercise may cause injuries. Sports injuries are those that occur during the practice of a sport or when exercising, some of these occur accidentally and others may be the result of bad practices, overload or improper use of training equipment. There are two types of sports injuries:
Acute lesions: occur suddenly while exercising. They are the most frequent and include sprained ankle, strains in the back and fractures in the hands.
Chronic injuries: they occur after playing a sport or exercising for a long time. They are recurring and annoying for the person.
