A lingual arch space maintainer is a device designed for the lower arch. It consists of two rings called bands that will go over the first definitive molars that appear after six years. A steel arch is welded to these bands, adapting to the internal faces of all the lower teeth. This device is aimed at preserving dental space. Its objective is aimed at avoiding crowding between teeth. Maintain correct eruption guide. Maintain the basic functions of teething and avoid the appearance of habits (interposition of the tongue between the jaws when swallowing, for example).
