Cervical disc herniation with decompression and instrumentation
$13,000.00
A disc herniation occurs when the fibrous ring breaks and opens or cracks, allowing the nucleus pulposus to escape. Cervical spine surgery is performed to remove the herniated part of the disc, then treat compression of the spinal cord or nerve through decompression and finally the spinal instrumentation (such as a small plaque) used to treat vertebral instability. The goal of surgery is to relieve pressure, thus reducing pain and providing the patient with a better quality of life, restoring the ability to develop daily activities.
